Smile - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge 310

December 7, 2016

Today I'm sharing a card I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC 310).

This weeks sketch is so simple and have a lot of possibilities. I used the Polar Bear Pals stamp set and the Icebergs Die-namics for my focal point and put a large word "Smile" from the Sending Hugs Die-namics instead of the horizontal rectangle element in the sketch.

I cut a panel from Ranger Watercolor paper using the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, daubed some Limeade Premium Dye ink over top half of it, and spritzed it with a little water. I die cut another rectangle panel from Smooth White CS, cut off the top half, and inked the top edge with a little Berrylicious Premium Dye ink. The icebergs were cut out from Smooth White CS, inked with Berrylicious ink, and adhered to the background panel.
The polar bear was stamped, colored, and cut out with the matching die. I adhered him to the background panel with foam tape along with the icy ground panel.

I blended Lemon Drop and Coral Crush Premium Dye inks on a piece of white card stock, and cut out the word "Smile" from it. I cut out two more "Smile" and glued them together for thickness.

I cut a large rectangle panel from gingham paper and matted it with a panel of Coral Crush CS.The left edge of the Coral Crush panel was cut with the Stitched Scallop Edges Die-namics.
I added some bakers twine and a die-cut snowflake along with a button for embellishment.

Gift Tags for Bookworms - MFT December New Product Launch

It's time to shop! MFT's December new products are available for purchase now!

I made a set of gift tags using the Our Story stamp set & Die-namics. I kept them as flat as possible so that the recipients can use them as bookmarks.

These are quite simple and easy to make. Just die cut a tag base from watercolor paper, white emboss a sentiment, then blend some Distress Inks over it and spritz it with some water. (Distress Ink colors I used : Cracked Pistachio & Salty Ocean for the left one, Scattered Straw & Worn Lipstick for the right one) Stamp, color, and die cut the images, and adhered them to the tag base. Punch a little hole and add a hole reinforcer and some bakers twine.

Head on over to the MFT blog to see the other DT members have come up with for today. And don't forget to leave comments on the DT blogs for your chance to win a prize! (Check out the MFT blog for more details!)

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy shopping! ;)

MFT December Release Countdown Day 1

December 6, 2016

It's the final day of the MFT December Release Countdown! The new products that we have been showcasing this past five days will be available for purchase at 9:00 pm EST TONIGHT!

I cut a Smooth White panel using the Stitched Peek-a-Boo Window & Edge Die-namics and randomly stamped the snowflakes with Sno Cone Premium Dye ink. I cut another Smooth White panel and blended some Premium Dye Inks to create the background underneath the characters. (Ink colors I used : Berrylicious & Tropical Teal for the penguin, Peach Bellini and Coral Crush for the snowmen)

I adhered the inked panel to a card base and added a gingham panel cut with the edge die from the Stitched Peek-a-Boo Window & Edge Die-namics. The Smooth White panel and the characters were adhered with foam tape. The sentiment was white embossed on a strip of Tropical Teal CS and a few Sparkling Clear sequins were added to finish off the card.
